Then I have tested a few out and Yamipod did not work with my Windows 8 PC, but I did notice an older free version of Sharepod HERE that worked, doesn't have all the features of the new paid for version but worked okĪs for enough room for 200 songs then sadly I don't know the size of your Hard Disk Drive and free space in your PC you have at present but open My Computer and right click your C Drive and choose Properties and that piechart in the middle + the figures above should tell you have much free space you have, as a very rough rule of thumb and as all tracks can be of different size this could be variable I did a check on 250 songs (did 250 to give some wriggle room) in my collection and the size was 1.76GBįirst off create a New Folder on your C drive in My Documents etc To disable iTunes for now, I just plug in my iPhone or iPod and then as soon as iTunes starts use the red X top right corner to close it. I did look through previous posts of mine on here on the subject and one app Sharepod is no paid software, but Yamipod is still freeware and should do what you wish. Thought, sorry the options for copying from iPod to PC where in that link, need to update some links of mine I guess.īut if your iPod is not a Touch then you should be able to open it as a portable drive via My Computer and navigate to the location below, or do adjust the name of iPod as that's what you have called it.
